Allama Muhammad Iqbal Message to Youngster

No doubt Iqbal was a great man and a great mufaqir... May Allah help me understanding Allama Iqbal and spreading his message to the nation.

Prison or Penthouse?

I will keep this very short and simple but it sure isn’t sweet.

Prison, physical confinement, deprived of personal freedoms. This isn’t no ordinary prison, each one of the inmates here gets the special treatment of solitary confinement. A cell size of 2 foot across, 6 foot long....no windows, no light just dull, dark, damp black. No books to read, no one to talk to. No T.V, no mp3 players, no cellphones.... no nothing....just empty silence...sit in the dark long enough and the mind starts playing tricks on you. Ever jumped into the pool at night in the dark? You see things in the dark, you start hearing things in the silence. You don’t know what you are served because you can’t see what you’re eating.. but it feels as if it’s moving! When you know you’re guilty and you regret your crime, then all that time is going to make each and every second of the sentence seem like eternity....

Penthouse, apartment on one of the highest floors of an apartment or condominium. Great view, lots of light...fresh air! Large living spaces and top-of-the line amenities... terrace, fireplace, more square footage, over-sized windows, jacuzzi ..... a luxurious lifestyle. Eat when you like, what you like and how you like it! Do as you please and be as you please !

Both are graves, one is the person who forgot his ALLAH, forgot his salat, and forgot his duties as a Muslim, the other one didn’t. So next time you need to choose between namaz and something else.... remember prison or penthouse?

Example of life

I was sitting in the waiting room of a Railway Station when I saw a 4 year old child screaming and fighting with his father to buy him an ice cream. The father diverted his attention and gave him a bunch of toffees. The doctor had prohibited ice cream because of the child’s illness, so the father could not fulfil his beloved child’s wish. He loved his child more than anyone and he knew that ice cream could affect his child’s health. They had come to the city to visit a Paediatrics specialist and were now on their way home.

The father tried to give his child medicine but the son was crying and not willing to take it as he did not like the taste. The father told him that if he did not take the medicine, he will not be able to have ice cream. Unwillingly the child took the medicine with tightly closed eyes. In the meantime the train arrived and they set off to their home.

After witnessing this incident I realised how great the love of Allah Almighty is. It is said that Allah has distributed one percent of the love among His creatures, which includes the love of Messengers and Prophets for their Ummah, Parent’s love for their children, love of spouse for each other etc; and has kept ninty nine percent with Himself. It is also stated in Hadith that if a kafir (non muslim) came to know about Allah’s love for him he would not be able to bear it and his heart would break into pieces. That is why it is not necessary that every wishes is fulfilled in this world. when we request and supplicate to Allah, Allah knows the after effects of our wishes and desires, He accordingly fulfils or delays them.

Hadhrat Abu Hurairah (Radhi Allaho anho) narrated that Rasulullah (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) has said, "Almighty Allah says, 'I treat my slave (man) according to his expectations from Me, and I am with him when he remembers Me, If he remembers Me in his heart, I remember him in My heart; if he remembers Me in a gathering, I remember him in a better and nobler gathering (i.e. of angels). If he comes closer to Me by one span, I go towards him a cubit's length, if he comes towards Me by a cubit's length, I go towards him an arm's length, and if he walks towards Me, I run unto him."

In the above incident, the waiting room is the world we live in, for an unknown period since we do not know when the angel of death arrives, like a train, to take us to our destiny.

Medicine is the advice that given by our elders and friends which does not taste well but, surely, contains the heeling effect (refreshes Imaan).

Ice cream and cold drinks are the things/acts that are forbidden. They seem very tasteful and pleasent but have adverse effects on our health (Imaan). These things will surely be allowed in Jannah in the most pure form.

Bunch of toffees are the things/acts allowed in this world which may apparently look small (shaitan shows the rewards as small as he can, so that we ignore the good deeds saying it is not so important or it is ordinary) but do not harm the health (Imaan).

It is my request to the readers to repent to Allah and ask for forgiveness of Him. He loves granting forgiveness.

A Place to Remember

Chances are by the time ur readin this article ur sitting in ur home. Your home is on planet Earth. Earth is a rocky planet i.e. that the solid parts of this planet are made up of rocks. Now imagine a place where there are no rocks, no trees, no buildings no humans. A place not made up of rock but rather fire. Everywhere you look you see endless plumes of fire. Fire so intense and extreme that anything that approaches it melts. This fire has been burning for billions upon billions of years, and usually the older the fire the hotter it gets (given it still has fuel to burn). And this place has plenty of fuel! Its ginormous! So huge that it can engulf millions of Earths, googillions of humans. Googillion, by the way, is a really really really really really big number. This place is so huge if u throw someone in this endless sea of fire it takes them eternity to reach the very bottom (if there actually is a bottom). And the temperature! ohh the temperature! well as a human once u cross 100°C (the boiling point of water, 70-80% of the human body is water) adding more degrees becomes pointless because you’re already dead! this place has temperatures not in hundreds but thousands.... the deeper u go the hotter it gets. Now imagine that you have to live on this godforsaken fireball for all eternity! Would you want to go and live there? Or would you do everything within you human power to avoid such a fate?

Well if at any time you thought that the place I just described was the hell fire then sorry but I was only talking about the Sun. Yeah that round thing you see in the sky everyday! Hell is much hotter than this.... much much hotter. How hot? well the temperatures in Quasars can reach upto billions of degrees and hell is still hotter than those... so.... The other problem with this scenario is eternity. If a human was to fall on the surface of the sun they would be dead long before they reach anywhere close to it...but not so in the case of hell fire. You never die in hell but you do melt! and every time you melt your given a new skin to feel the pain all over again. And this will go on and on and on and on and on and on.....(you get the picture).

ALLAH didn’t really have to create hellfire, the sun would have sufficed! but HE did and is I said earlier hell is much hotter than the sun! maybe HE just put that ball of fire there so that we can use it to imagine how terrible a place hellfire truly is !

I want (rather need) you to remember that there is a special place in hell specifically reserved for “baynamazi”. And obviously if we are talking about baynamazis then it means muslims who have forgotten their namaz and not the kafireen. Pl don’t lie to yourself by saying everything is going to be fine for me in the hereafter even if I don’t offer my farz namaz, all will be forgiven ... etc ... if you don’t offer your prayers you have more than 50% chance of ending up in hell. (I’m not going to go into the details cuz that will increase the length of this article and then people would ignore it...cuz who has the time!) ... so the question is, are you willing to take that chance? the chance of ending up in hell? If there was a 50% chance that the house your sitting in right now can blow up any minute...will you remain where you are? or would you rather get up and run?

So next time you feel like saying “kapray nai saaf”, “dil nai karta”, “Raat aisee guzri kay namaz nai parh saktay”, “agli parh lain gay”, “kazaa kar lain gay” etc. just stare at the summer sun at midday for a min or two...its 149.6 million kilometres away from you and much cooler than hell fire and still its unbearable ! boiling water at around 100°C and surely undrinkable !

To improve your chances of avoiding this all you have to do is start offering farz namaz from right now .... before it’s too late.

Namaz parhoo iss say pehlay kay tumaree namaz parhi jai... JazakALLAH for reading.

Virtues of Zikr 3

Rasulullah (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) once said to his companions, "Shall I tell you of something that is the best of all deeds, constitutes the best act of piety in the eyes of your Lord, will elevate your status in the Hereafter, and carries more virtue than the spending of gold and silver in the service of Allah or taking part in jihaad and slaying or being slain in the path of Allah."
The Companions begged to be informed of such an act. The Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) replied, "It is the zikr of Almighty Allah."
[Tirimzi]

Virtues of Zikr 2

Rasulullah (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) said,
"The contrast between a person who glorifies Almighty Allah and one who does not remember Him is like that between the living and the dead."
[Bukhari, Muslim]

Virtues of Zikr 1

Hadhrat Abu Hurairah (Radhi Allaho anho) narrated that Rasulullah (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) has said,
"Almighty Allah says, 'I treat my slave (man) according to his expectations from Me, and I am with him when he remembers Me, If he remembers Me in his heart, I remember him in My heart; if he remembers Me in a gathering, I remember him in a better and nobler gathering (i.e. of angels). Virtues of Salaat 4

Hadhrat Abu Usman (Radhi Allaho anho) says:

"I was once sitting under a tree with Hadhrat Salmaan (Radhi Allaho anho). He caught hold of a dry branch of the tree and shook it till all its leaves fell off. He then said to me, "0, Abu Uthman! (Radhi Allaho anho) Will you not ask me why I am doing this?" "Do tell me," I entreated. He said, "The Apostle of Allah had done exactly like this before me, while I was with him under a tree. He caught a dry branch of it and shook it, till all its leaves fell off". At this he said:
'0, Salmaan! (Radhi Allaho anho) will you not ask me why I am doing this?' I replied: 'Do tell me why you are doing this?' He remarked: "Verily when a Muslim takes wudhu properly and then observes his salaat five times a day, his sins fall off just as these leaves have fallen off. He (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) then recited the following verse of the Holy Qur'an:

[Meaning] "Establish salaat at the two ends of the day, and at the approaches of the night. Verily, good deeds annul ill deeds. This is a reminder for the mindful. (XI: 114)"

[Ahmad, Nisai, Tibrani]

Virtues of Quran 5

Ibn-e-Umar (Radhi Allaho anho) narrates that Rasulullah (sallallaho alaihe wasallam) said, “Hasad (jealousy) is not permitted except of two persons- one whom Allah blesses with recitation of Quran and he remains engaged in it day and night, and the other who is given a lot of wealth by Allah and he spends it day and night.”
[Bukhari, Tirimzi]

Virtue of Quran 4

Aisha (Radhi Allaho anha) narrates that Rasulullah (sallallaho alaihe wasallam) once said,”One who is well versed in the Quran will be in the company of those angels who are scribes, noble and righteous; and one who falters in reading the Quran and has to exert hard learning, gets double the reward. ”
[Bukhari, Muslim]

Ummah

very soon the posts will be published on this page as well inshAllah.

Life of Muhammad (salallaho alaihe wasalam) 3/Last

Very shortly she returned him to Aminah, his mother. Aminah found out from Halima about the events that had taken place. Aminah assured Halima that Muhammad was not under the influence from any devil or jinn but even when she was expecting him she had seen great marvels and miracles. Aminah also stated that at the time of her son’s birth she felt a light that had emergerd from her body which illuminated East and West. Muhammad was returned to the care of his mother Aminah and continued to live with her and Barakah.

Barakah was a slave girl when Abdullah passed away she looked after Aminah and later took care of Muhammad. She was dedicated to looking after Muhammad her whole life. She also loved him immensely and was with him throughout his sadness and joys. Muhammad also had great respect and love for this woman.

Muhammad (salallaho alaihe wasalam) was a remarkable individual from his early life. Recounting the days of his childhood, Halima Saadia says,
“He did justice right from the begining. He sucked milk only from one side leaving the other for his foster brother Abdullah. His growth was better than other children he seemed bigger than his age. Everyone was struck with the innocence and charm of his personality. His face radiated like full moon in darkness. He went out to play with other boys, but he would not take part in untidy activities. He was very helpful and cooperative from the very begining. At the age of three he began to go with his foster brother Abdullah to graze the goats”.

When Muhammad was six years old, he accompanied Aminah and Umm-e-Aimen on a trip to Yathrib. This was a chance for Muhammad to become acquainted with his uncles in Yathrib and also to see the grave of his father, whom he had never met. On his journey, Aminah told Muhammad about his father and his uncles but when they got there, Aminah became ill and also passed away. To him the world may have seemed to be filled with darkness to see his mother being commited to the earth. Muhammad (salallaho alaihe wasalam) and Bakarah both returned in tears and Abdul Muttalib began to look after this orphaned child. This was the second tragedy to strike this six-year-old child. His father passed away before he was born and now his mother had also passed away! Perhaps being an orphan was necessary for to be independent, selfreliant, selfconfident, to be able to stand on his feet to face the world and lead it all alone.

He came under the guardianship of his grandfather Abdul Muttalib. Abdul Muttalib had loved Abdullah so much and had been greatly saddened when Abdullah passed away. Abdul Muttalib often took Muhammad to the Ka'bahwith him. When Abdul-Muttalib used to lie on the couch near the Ka'bah, Muhammad was always near him sitting on the mattress. Hence, Muhammad came under the care of this kind and generous old man, his grandfather. Although Muhammad had suffered so much tragedy in his life, he never felt that he wasn’t loved. His grandfather surrounded him with love and looked after him as if he was his own son.

However, this love would not last for long. Another great catastrophe was ready to strike. When Muhammad was eight years old, Abdul Muttalib passed away. At his deathbed Abdul Muttalib handed him over unto the care of Abu Talib, who was his real uncle. Abu Talib was by no means rich but was a kind and generous fellow. He was respected by all the tribes that lived in Makkah. Abu Talib was a man of great wisdom and merit.

Living with Abu Talib Muhammad (salallaho alaihe wasalam) tried to make sure that he was not burden to his uncle. He used to graze goats and camels to support his uncle. This proved him to be a responsible and honest person. Also by grazing goats in the rugged mountain hills of Makkah, he acquired close knowledge of the surrounding areas which proved of great importance in the latter years of struggle for islam. All the prophets were shepherds before they were given prophethood. He did have a loving guardian and was offered much love and friendship by Abu Talib's family. This he appreciated for the rest of his life.

Virtues of Salaat 3

Abu Hurairah (Radhi Allaho anho) narrates that once Rasulullah (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) asked his companions, ‘Do you believe that dirt can remain on a person bathing five times a day in a brook running in front of his door?’ ‘No’, replied the companions,’ No dirt can remain on his body.’ Rasulullah (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) remarked : ‘So, exactly similar is the effect of sallat offered five times a day. With the Grace of Allah, it washes away all the sins’.
 [Bukhari, Muslim]

Virtues of Quran 3

Hadrat Uqbah ibn-e-Aamir (Radhi Allaho anho) has said :
“Rasulullah (sallallaho alaihe wasallam) came to us while we were sitting on the ‘Suffah’ and asked if anyone of us would like to go to the market of ‘Buthan’ or ‘Aqiq’ and fetch from there two she-camels of the finest breed without committing any sin or severing a tie of kinship. We replied that everyone of us would love to do so. Rasulullah (sallallaho alaihe wasallam) then said going to the Masjid and reciting or teaching two ayaat of Quran is more precious than two she-camels, three ayaat are more precious than three she-camels, and that similarly recitiing or teaching of four ayaat is better than four she-camels and an equal number of she-camels ”
 [Muslim, Abu daood]

Life of Muhammad (salallaho alaihe wasalam) 2/Last

Abdullah, the father of Holy Prophet Muhammad (salallaho alaihe wasalam) was the most loving son of Abdul Muttalib. He was married to Aminah, daughter of Wahab bin Abd Munaf, the chief of Bani Zahra.

After passing few months of matrimonial life, Abdullah went to Syria with a trade caravan. On his way back home, he stopped at yathrib, where he fell ill and died. Thus Holy Prophet (salallaho alaihe wasalam) became orphan even before his birth. By way of inheritance Abdullah left a few camels, goats and a slave girl Umm-e-Aimen. Umm-e-Aimen real name was Barakah.

In those days it was customary among noble Arab families to send their infants to nurses of good tribes in the rural areas so that they should grow in the clean open air of the desert and learn pure Arabic speech. Aminah also gave her son to Halima Saadia, a noble lady of desert tribe of Bani Saad who lived some 25 miles outside of Makkah.

None of the other Bedouin wet nurses wanted to take the child Muhammad (salallaho alaihe wasalam) because he was an orphan. When a child was returned to the family of the foster child, they would reward the wet nurse generously. Every woman got a child to bring up but Halima, who had arrived last and did not find a child to foster. She was ready to go back when she decided to return and collect the child Muhammad, even though he was an orphan.

Muhammad (salallaho alaihe wasalam) always had the highest regards for Halima Saadia. His (salallaho alaihe wasalam) foster parents were poor people but with the coming of this child (salallaho alaihe wasalam) their luck changed. It was also the year of famine and drought so they would constantly pray for rain.

With the duty of bringing up Muhammad(salallaho alaihe wasalam), Halima fortunes turned right around and her life was filled with immense good fortune. Both Muhammad and the other foster child were fully fed, even though the previous night there was no milk for the other child. The old she camel, which had not given a drop of milk, was soon over flowing with milk. Halima was at the very back of the group of women but now was at the front of the group. This was indeed a great blessing for this poor Bedouin family. Their land became fertile as never before. Halima’s herd of goats used to come home full, and over flowing with milk. The rest of the Bedouins' goats used to come home scraggy and empty. They used to complain to the shepherd to take the sheep and goats to the same place that Halima takes her flock! There were many more signs about how her life was turned around.

After two years the child Muhammad (salallaho alaihe wasalam) was back to his mother, but due to plague in Makkah, she returned him to the pure desert air for another couple of years. At this time, Halima told Aminah about the great blessings that she had received when Muhammad was in her care.

A strange incident took place in the prophet’s childhood. Once both Muhammad and his foster brother were playing in the yard with the goats when the Angel Jibrael appeared to them. The Angel came split open Muhammad’s chest, took out his heart, removed a blood clot and washed it in Zamzam. The angel then returned the heart to Muhammad's body before going away. The angel said this was the part of shaytan in you.

His foster brother ran to Halima and said that Muhammad has been murdered. She rushed out and found Muhammad standing with a pale white face. She checked over his body and found that he was fine.

Virtues of Quran 2

Hadrat Usman (Radhi Allaho anho) narrates that Rasulullah (sallallaho alaihe wasallam) said :
“ The best amongst you is he who learns Quran and teaches it.”
[Bukhari, Abu daood, Tirimzi]

Virtues of Salaat 2

Abu Zar (Radhi Allaho anho) narrates that once the Holy Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) came out of his house. It was Autumn and the leaves were falling off the trees. He caught hold of a branch of a tree and its leaves began to drop in large number. At this he remarked, ‘O, Abu Zar! (Radhi Allaho anho) when a Muslim offers his Salaat to please Allah, his sins are shed away from him just as these leaves are falling of this tree’.
 [Faza’il-e-A’maal]

Virtues of Quran 1

Hadrat Saeed (Radhi Allaho anho) narrates that Rasulullah (sallallaho alaihe wasallam) said :
“Almighty Allah says, “if anybody finds no time for My remebrance and for begging favours of Me, because of his remaining busy with the Holy Quran, I shall give more than what i give to all those who beg favours of Me ”. The superiority of the word of Allah over all other words is like superiority of Allah over the entire creation.”
[Tirimzi, Baheqi]

Virtues of Salaat 1

Abdullah-bin-Umar (Radhi Allaho anho) narrates that he heard Rasulullah (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) saying :
“Islam is founded oon five pillars : bearing witness that there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) is His apostle; establishment of Salaat; paying of Zakaat; performance of Hajj; and fasting in Ramadhan”
[Bukhari, Muslim]

Life of Muhammad (salallaho alaihe wasalam) 1/Last

The story of our civilization begins with the mission of a man who has benifitted and influenced humanity more than anyone else. This started when he recieved the first revelation from the creator of the worlds, the first few ayats of Surah Iqra.

Thus begins the greatest saga of the human history whose hero is Muhammad (salallaho alaihe wasalam). He is the last and final Prophet sent by the Allah. The doors of prophethood are now closed and everyone who want to succeed in this life and hereafter has to follow him (salallaho alaihe wasalam).

CHILDHOOD

Muhammad (salallaho alaihe wasalam) was born in Makkah in the month of Rabi-ul-Awal, 571 A.D. also known as the “Year of Elephants”(Abrahah from Yemen was leading to Makkah with huge army to divert Arabs from Kaaba to Cathedral for piligramage). He was named Muhammad by Abdul Muttalib (grandfather). The name being uncommon and unknown among the Quraish, somebody questioned Abdul Muttalib about it. In reply he said:

“I have named him Muhammad so that his name may br praised on the earth and in the heavens.”
[Islamiat for students]

The Holy Prophet (salallaho alaihe wasalam) was the direct descendent of Hazrat Ismail (Alaihe Salam), the son of Prophet Ibrahim(Alaihe Salam), who had rebuilt the Kaaba about 3000 years before him. Hazrat Ismail had many sons. One of them had settled permanently in Hejaz-Arabia. One of his descendents, Fihr, known by his title Quraish was a famous personality of his time. His descendent Qussai, had the custody of the key of Kaaba, he was responsible for entertaining pilgrims.

Qussai’s grandson, Hashim, from whom the Holy Prophet (salallaho alaihe wasalam) traces, was the richest and most important of the Qussai’s descendents. Hashim and his brothers organized and dispatched trade caravans, and established trade links with foreign countries.

Abdul Muttalib the grandfather of Prophet (salallaho alaihe wasalam) and son of Hashim was the grand chief of Makkah. Three of his most important incidents of life are
  1. Restoration of the fountain of Zamzam.
  2. The dialogue with Abrahah, the christian viceroy of Yemen who had come with large army to destroy Kaaba.
  3. The bringing up of his orphan grandson Muhammad (salallaho alaihe wasalam).
Abdullah, the father of Holy Prophet Muhammad (salallaho alaihe wasalam) was the most loving son of Abdul Muttalib. He was married to Aminah, daughter of Wahab bin Abd Munaf, the chief of Bani Zahra.

Why Prayers Unanswered?

Ibrahim ibn adham (R.A), a third century scholar, teacher, and a companion of sufyan al-thawri, was asked about the saying of Allah (SWT): “And your Lord say: Call on Me, I will answer your prayer prayer...”(40:60) People complained to him, saying: we supplicate, yet we are not answered.” Ibrahim ibn adham answered them, saying:
“You know Allah, yet you do not obey Him, You recite Quran, yet you do not act according to it, You know shaitan, yet you have always agreed with him, You proclaim that you love the messenger of Allah (S), yet you abandon his sunnah.
You proclaim your love for paradise, yet you do not act to gain it, You proclaim your fear of hellfire, yet you do not prevent yourselves from sins, You say “Indeed death is true”, yet you have not prepared for it, You engage yourselves with finding faults with others, yet you do not look at your (own) faults,
You eat of that which Allah (SWT) has provided for you, yet you do not thank Him, You bury your dead, yet you do not take a lesson from it.”

(Khushu fi – Salat of Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali)

Beeps Sound in Desktop PCs at System Startup

You people might have read the story of “A man who was a hospital”. I never thought such thing can really happen to me as well before buying a PC. Among many “problems” i found in my PC one was the beep sounds at system startup(booting time). Again i took the help of google and i found that beep sounds mainly occur due to hardware problems and i got into great melancholy, “O my God this is my new PC and i’ve a harware problem in it right away...”
I used to listen two beeps with a delay of almost 1-2 seconds which was thought to be a motherboard issue, anyway i contacted the intel live help and explained my problem, below is the copy of conversation for your help

BUG : Enabling Front Panel in Desktops PCs

After buying my new Desktop PC and discovering that its front panel isn’t working, i was a bit affraid. :(
Then after searching the problem on the internet i realised that i was wrong and found the way out. Actually it was disabled. ;)
Enabling it in Windows 7 seemed not to be that much easier to me as well because it was new for me. Some said it is disabled from BIOS others said it can be done from control panel, i think both were true but in my case the later one. :)
You might be thinking about the word ‘BUG’ used in the header... you will know why did i write this at the end of this article.

Following are the steps to Enable front panel (Realtek HD Audio):
1) Open ‘Control Panel’ from ‘Start menu’ (or click on realtek icon in system tray)
for xp (similar to Window xp)

      2) Open Realtek HD Audio (Start\Control Panel\Realtek HD Audio)

Realtek HD Audio in Window xp

Realtek HD Audio in Window 7

It took me more than 30mins to know that checking this statement basically ‘enables’ the front panel, hats of to Realtek HD Audio. :P
If you want to play front and rear panel output devices simultaneously following screenshot illustrates its. Once again you can see the bug that a statement is wrong.
